Ionizing radiative transfer

Select driver_type: ionizingrtsimulation and place its settings under ionizingrtsimulation:. See General configuration for the file structure and Per-star ionizing spectra for stellar spectral inputs.

Optical-depth cutoff

ionizingrtsimulation.ionizing_rt.tau_max defaults to 15. The driver caps it at 50 in FP32 and 500 in FP64, and may reduce it further to keep attenuated packet weights ten optical-depth units above the smallest normal floating-point value. Reductions emit a warning. If the resulting survival bound exp(-tau_max) exceeds tau_cutoff_weight_tolerance (default 0.01), the run stops with an error.
